Corrodys: expertise and solutions to fight corrosion problems
Who are we?

Corrodys is an expert lab in corrosion assessment and studies, especially in marine corrosion and Microbially Influenced Corrosion (MIC).

Corrodys is a partner of industries worldwide and has a unique organisation gathering, in a same facility, three synergistic competencies: corrosion engineers, microbiologists and physics and chemistry scientists.

Corrodys:

  • expertises failures in industrial systems;
  • guides you in your choices of materials, coatings, corrosion inhibitors, biocides and design of systems subject to corrosion;
  • brings its help to reduce you operational capital and increase safety and long-life of your facilities.

To increase, renew and maintain its competencies and its know-how and to comply entirely to its research programs scientific level requirements, Corrodys is a partner of the University of Caen and the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission CEA.

Corrodys Scientific Committee is composed of scientists, professors and lecturers from the University of Caen and from Corrodys.

Corrodys' services:
Analyses of
  • metallography;
  • microbiology (necessary to identify microbial corrosion);
  • physical chemistry.
Expert’s opinion
  • Our corrosion specialists go on-site to evaluate the root cause of a failure due to corrosion. They check all parameters: operational historic, pictures, material and water sampling, analyses, expert opinion report and solutions proposal.
Tests
  • Testing according to international standards or
